PGI - The Unique Event and Communications Agency announced today the appointment of Jack Tillar to the role of General Manager, PGI Canada. Jack's new position will encompass responsibility for offices in Vancouver, Whistler, Banff, and Hawaii. He is looking forward to continuing to build on the number and scope of exciting projects that can be offered in these destinations for PGI's new and loyal existing clients. Jack will be replacing Kirsten Strand, CMP, CITE, who after many successful years at the helm, has now been appointed as PGI's Senior Vice President - International Business Development.

"Jack is a thirty-year veteran of the Westin Hotels & Resorts and has been with our PGI team for the past three years in the capacity of Director of Meeting Services, specializing in Food & Beverage, Hotel Negotiations, and Meeting Logistics." commented Matthew Sheppard, Chief Operating Officer, Destinator by PGI. "Jack's modeling of exemplary service standards, not only to our clients and guests, but also to our own PGI team, coupled with his maturity and well developed communication skills, all makes him the ideal choice for the position of General Manager." continued Mr. Sheppard.

During his years at PGI Canada, Jack has specialized on many high-level programs in Canada and the United States including The Hartford (SITE Award winner), Allstate Insurance, Boston Pizza, Visa and Elar Partners. Jack has also completed many outstandingly successful programs in Hawaii over the last two years. And, when not planning and producing programs, Jack has offered his expertise to all of PGI by training several of our North American offices on the Destinator by PGI service excellence standards and processes.
