Love was certainly in the air, and on the slopes, at Calgary's Canada Olympic Park in March.
Two of the Park's snowboard coaches and supervisors, Trevour Wigemyr and Trisha Drake, tied the knot just before dusk between the 15-foot walls of the Superpipe as bundled up guests stood on the snowy hill at Canada Olympic Park to witness the nuptials.
With the breathtaking vistas of the Canadian Rockies behind them, and temperatures dipping well below zero, the groom wore a black toque and westbeach snowboard attire, while his beaming bride cruised to the altar in a light-coloured two-piece westbeach snowboard outfit of her own.
Wigemyr and Drake's love for snowboarding, and each other, has led them to a number of Western Canadian ski resorts, and to the altar on the slopes. They met while working at Marmot Basin in Jasper, Alta., were engaged while on holidays at Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort, and finally tied the knot while employed at Canada Olympic Park.
After sealing their vows with a quick kiss, the couple strapped back on their boards and rode off under an arch of ski poles and snowboards held by friends and colleagues.
For their honeymoon - the newlyweds plan to spend some time on the slopes in British Columbia.
