Richmond, BC. International Stage Lines has purchased 7 new MCI J4500 model coaches, manufactured by Motor Coach Industries of Winnipeg Manitoba. This acquisition of motor coaches, is one of the largest single purchases by any British Columbia charter motor coach operator in 2004.
The MCI J4500 is a proven motor coach whose comfort and reliability is superb. The J4500 is designed to appeal to passengers inside and out, and engineered with a sensible level of technology for easy driving and simplified maintenance, the J4500 is a smart value for operators.
This acquisition of 7 coaches brings the total International Stage Lines fleet of "Renaissance Style" Coaches to 14. With a renewed sense of optimism and with some conservative forecasting, this acquisition by International Stage Lines, signals the end of 2 difficult years.
As the tourism business begins to rebound to pre 2000 year levels, the motor coach industry faces a greater challenge in the hiring of skilled motor coach operators. International Stage Lines has begun an extensive search and training program to ensure a stable work force, and provide a quality of service on a consistent basis.
The outlook for 2004 & 2005 is extremely positive. With the increase meeting facilities in Richmond & Vancouver, as well as the attention on the world stage with upcoming events such as the 2010 Olympics. International Stage lines is well poised to serve the impending growth of the tourism & conference/meeting events in Vancouver.
