Two new award nominations for SENSIX:
- Best New Entertainment Concept for the FINA VIP Gala (World Aquatic Championships) in association with Belluscious Productions
- Best New Entertainment Concept for the Opening Ceremony of FDI 2005 (World Federation of Dentists Congress)
FINA VIP Gala

|
|
For the first time, North America was chosen to host the FINA World Aquatic Championships. Sensix was requested to produce the Montreal Mayor’s official Welcome Dinner for 350 VIPs.
Guests were plunged into the championship’s theme “Feel the Wave of Emotion” with a sensory approach showcasing local talent from fashion, theatre, and multimedia.
For the finale entitled “Bathing Beauties”, the background projected screen imagery of dancers in 20’s era bathing costumes evolved into an art form… as much fun to watch as the live dancers. Think “raining umbrellas” and “kaleidoscope of synchronized swimmers” projected on silky water walls.

FDI World Dental Congress 2005

|
|
Sensix Communications and Events produced the FDI World Dental Congress 2005 Opening Ceremony for 4000 delegates.
Eighty-six performers mesmerized guests as they took them on a coast-to-coast tour of Canada. This high-energy show called “Canadian Colours” began with a stirring flag ceremony featuring children on roller blades parading the 133 flags of the visiting delegates.
The guests then experienced an adventure across Canada through the unique combination of live cultural performances and vast projected images. The show highlights included a native hoop dance in a rain forest, cirque artists ‘climbing” the Rockies, and a Stomp-like hockey dance in Ottawa.

Stoney Creek, Ontario
Regal Tent Productions of Stoney Creek Ontario created temporary structures for H&M Fashions in Central Park that was one of - if not the - most unique and difficult project in the company’s history. The main tent was 132' x132' on 25' legs (this leg height is unheard of). Custom braces weighing 1800 lbs, each designed and manufactured in Germany by Hocker to enable the high sides. Central Park Conservancy were on site 24 hrs. a day to ensure that every twig on every tree was protected from harm and any damage to any flora or fauna resulted in charges range from $2500 to felony charges. Now that's logistically challenging. Click here for photos >>

Theme:
Sex in the City
Pink and Cream sets the scene for this deliciously exciting theme. Yes the series is over but the legacy of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda live on. Large floral rose centerpieces that sit 3 ft off the table in tall platinum vases cascade over cream textured linens; huge platinum framed images of New York landmarks hang throughout the room on blank wall space, laid against a backdrop of luscious cream velvet curtains. Platinum table accessories, pink accents, large freestanding cosmopolitan martinis surround the room and stunning fashion models walk the runway, striking poses throughout the reception wearing replicas of the “casts” hottest numbers. It’s a hot hot new York theme. Watch reruns for more ideas from your favorite episodes.

Untouched Beauty in Canada's Yukon
|
Tired of meeting in the same old places? You'll find it everywhere in Canada's Yukon. From peaceful meadows to rugged mountains, there's a stunning new landscape around every corner. But the Yukon is more that just a beautiful place, it's Canada's most unique meeting location. Where else can you meet in the shadow of a glacier or in a Klondike Gold Rush-era saloon?
In between meeting, tee off for a round of gold under the midnight sun, rub elbows with prospectors and dance hall girls or fly-fish on wild, untamed rivers. Adventure based activities such as whitewater rafting, sea kayaking or heli-hiking will excite thrill seekers and provide a unique twist to your event. The winter season offers it's own unique mix of activities such as snowmobiling of a frozen lake, dog mushing and the mystical northern lights provide the ultimate Yukon experience!
