New Year Brings Changes to e=mc˛
After three and a half successful years together, partners Jocelyn Flanagan and Ken Christoperson will be parting ways to lead independant companies. Effective January 1, 2005, Jocelyn Flanagan, CEO, assumed 100% ownership of e=mc˛ event management inc. "This is an exciting time for both of us" Jocelyn reports, " together we have built a company and shaped the industry. Now it is time to make our own mark as individuals."
Together, with their team, they many international awards culminating with being awarded the prestigious Canadian Event Producers of the Year. "The team has set measurable examples for our industry and achieved things in three years that many said weren't possible, however our professional goals have altered a little and the timing was perfect for restructuring. Thus I have sold my shares in the company to Jocelyn and I am thrilled for her to continue that little dream that I started five years ago while juggling four part-time jobs" comments Ken Christopherson.
In February Ken will be launching Experiential Events. His goal with this new firm is to create a dynamic, boutique style company focusing on the corporate market with social and not for profit spinoff.
Jocelyn and her team will continue to create award-winning events from their downtown office in the heart of Calgary. They look forward to collaborating with their trusted suppliers to produce events with the results their valued clients have come to expect.
Calgary is a vibrant community that always manages to enjoy what it undertakes, be it in the business, social, or nonprofit arenas. There will be enough opportunity for two effective, creative, service-oriented organizations in our field and you will find Jocelyn and Ken collaborating to help elevate the industry bar They've already had a hand in, and proud of, raising to date!!
