CAEM Connexions Sales Position

PRIMARY FOCUS:
Working with the itWorldCanada sales force, this position will be responsible for sales to existing and new clients for established itWorldCanada events. In addition, this position will require working with senior management to identify, develop and sell new event opportunities in the Canadian IT marketplace. The ideal candidate is a team player and understands what it takes to make a show a success.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work with our existing events account to manager, to promote and sell existing ITWorldCanada events
  • Sell new event sponsorship programs
  • Identify new IT event business opportunities to support all sales activities listed above
  • Generate prospects and new leads

TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of IT and/or health industry marketing an asset
  • Knowledge of event methodology and implementation is an asset
  • Software proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Goldmine
  • Knowledge of self/time management
  • General Internet knowledge and functionality (E-mail, Web, etc.)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years sales experience in Event sales
  • Experience in event/sponsorship or exhibit sales an asset
  • University / College degree and/or diploma
