Hot Décor:

Anything natural, sticks, twigs, moss, stones, free flowing loose "non arrangements" Faux and plastic, neon and multi fabrics are totally out. Mother nature reigns supreme as the hottest décor trend this side of the border is all about fresh, simple, natural and eco friendly. Look for whites, taupes, clean lines, and candles galore.

Seating:

Café seating styles. Think ottomans, booths and anything that looks like it was just pulled from a New York Raw Bar. Again, clean lines and sleek smart colors.

Music:

Blues, funk and crooners like Michael Buble. Hot hot hot is the word for the Sinatra era. Call your entertainment agent today and ask for the clip of their Sinatra du jour. Your clients will consider you an aficionado. Very classy!

Party Style:
Multiple room parties. Avoid the tables en masse. You recall those venues you have always loved but were convinced you couldn't use because of the small room. Well, pull out the TSE directory and start dialing because they are all the rage. From sit down to strolling around, the options are endless. TIP: Be sure to be maintain symmetry between rooms so that it doesn't become fragmented and keep color schemes similar.

Theme:

Mad Hatter - Become fragmented, use playing cards and upside down centerpieces, hire Bright Ideas Party Hats to give guests an interactive experience and create a topsy-turvy space. Use round long lounge couches and serpentine tables, bright colors and serve drinks in huge painted teacups. Oh what fun!

Catering:
Interactive food' stations such as 'Make your Own' pizza, mashed potato martinis, sundae bars and the latest craze - have the executives actually cook their dinner by setting up individual cooking stations and dividing them up into teams. It's all the rage at corporate events across the States.

Venue:
Arcadian Court, Toronto www.arcadiancourt.ca is glamorous, gorgeous, elegant, and perfect for any event. From grand galas to weddings and corporate functions, this space is truly sensational and the catering is fabulous.

Entertainer:

Stiffy The Robot - To make an incredible statement at the door to your event or anywhere you need IMPACT. Hire this guy. He will leave your guests, frozen with awe. www.stiffytherobot.com

Supplier:
You cannot do an event without a good photographer. Envision Digital photo in Toronto have covered hundreds of events and are used by all the top planners in the city. Check out their website and they will make sure your event gets the coverage it deserves. www.envisiondigitalphoto.com

Hotel:

Holiday Inn on King - Right in the heart of the city, this 4 star property is a refreshing surprise. Stunning interior and every amenity you could want, this is an excellent option for corporate and social functions. With really great rates and first class service and style, don't pass this by. www.hiok.com

Resort:

South Thompson Inn and guest Ranch www.stirgr.com - Looking for a unique site for your small to medium sized conference. Why not get away from the ordinary and give your delegates an experience they will never forget. Get the work done and then head to the great outdoors for some real west coast style ranching. This gorgeous resort offers the absolute best of everything… especially the ambiance.

As soon as Jenn Beaupre' begins to sing, it is evident that she is anything but shy about sharing the deeply personal experiences entwined within her music. OTTAWA ON
Meeting Planners Get a Taste of the Prairies in Ottawa

Venues, the Entertainment Company and Destination Winnipeg worked together to produce a stellar event in Ottawa on September 2003 at the National Arts Centre.

It was a work of true collaboration! Destination Winnipeg was coming to Ottawa in order to promote their destination to the various Association and Corporate Meeting Planners in Ottawa. Grace Vale, President of Venues, worked closely with Rachelle Normand of Destination Winnipeg in coordinating the sound and lights, musical stingers, stage cueing, and décor.
